PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated April 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how
ALPHARD TECH AZ LLC ("
we", "
us", or "
our"), a company registered in Azerbaijan (9th microdistrict, building 1-17, Sumqayit city AZ5000; VAT 1308412161), processes personal data in connection with the mobile application
Salut Translator (the "
App") and the website
https://www.salut-ai.com (together, the "
Services").
The defining property of Salut Translator is that AI inference runs entirely on your device. The text, voice recordings, photos and documents you submit to the AI model never leave your device, are never sent to our servers, and are not transmitted to any third-party AI provider. We have no servers that receive or store user content.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services. If you have questions, contact us at
[email protected].
SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS
- What data stays on your device. All translations, chat messages, voice recordings, photos, attached documents, AI model files, language preferences and chat history are stored locally and are not uploaded to us.
- What data leaves your device. Only what is needed to operate standard mobile-app SDKs: anonymous analytics and crash reports (Firebase / Crashlytics), advertising requests (Google AdMob), in-app purchase verification (Google Play Billing), and downloads of the AI model file (Cloudflare R2).
- No account, no sign-in. The App has no accounts, no registration, no email collection, no contact form, no chat with other users.
- Ads. We show banner ads via Google AdMob. Users in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a Google-provided consent screen on first launch and can change their choice in Settings → Privacy options. Users with the ad-free in-app purchase do not see ads.
- In-app purchases. Purchases (e.g. ad removal) are processed by Google Play Billing. We never receive your payment-card data.
- Children. The Services are not directed to children under 13.
- Your rights. You can disable analytics and personalised ads, reset or delete your Android Advertising ID, uninstall the App, and request deletion of any data Google or we hold via https://www.salut-ai.com/data-deletion.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
1.1 Information you provide directly
The App has no user accounts and no registration. We do not ask for, and do not receive, your name, email address, postal address or telephone number through normal use of the App. If you choose to email us at
[email protected], we receive the email address and content of your message and use them only to reply.
1.2 Content you submit to the on-device AI
When you use the translator, the mirror translator, the chat, the voice recorder or attach a photo / audio / document, that content is processed locally on your device by the LiteRT-LM runtime running in a separate Android process inside the App. This content:
- is not transmitted to us;
- is not transmitted to Google, Cloudflare or any other third-party AI service;
- may be stored on your device as part of your chat history until you clear chat or uninstall the App.
1.3 Information collected automatically
The following categories of data are collected automatically by standard mobile SDKs we integrate. Section 6 lists each SDK and what it collects.
- Device and technical data — device model, manufacturer, OS version, system language, country (derived from device locale and IP), screen size, available memory, GPU vendor (used to choose the best AI inference backend on your device).
- App usage events — which screens you open, which features you use (translator, mirror, chat, settings), which AI model you activate, errors and crashes. Events do not include your translation or chat content.
- Identifiers — Firebase Installation ID (random per-install identifier), Android Advertising ID (only if you have not opted out at the OS level), and a per-request IP address visible to Google and Cloudflare when our SDKs talk to their servers.
- Crash diagnostics — stack traces, the version of the App, the device model, the OS version, and a short log of recent non-content events leading up to the crash.
- AI-model download metadata — when you download an AI model, Cloudflare R2 records the request (IP, User-Agent, time, requested file) in standard HTTP access logs.
- Advertising signals — when an ad is requested, Google AdMob receives the Android Advertising ID, IP, coarse location (derived from IP), device data and ad-event timestamps.
- Purchase signals — when you make an in-app purchase, Google Play Billing receives the order, your Google account identifier (only Google sees this) and returns to the App a purchase token confirming the entitlement.
2. DEVICE PERMISSIONS WE REQUEST
| Permission | Why the App requests it | Where the data goes |
| Internet | Download AI models, fetch ads, send analytics / crash reports, verify purchases. | Cloudflare, Google. |
| Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) | Voice translation, language detection, voice messages in chat. | Stays on the device. Audio is processed by the local LiteRT-LM model and is not uploaded. |
| Camera | Capture a photo to attach to a chat message for image-aware AI. | Stays on the device. |
| Read media / documents | Attach an image, audio file or document from your device storage to the chat. | Stays on the device. |
| Foreground service / Notifications | Show the model-download progress notification so the OS does not kill the download in the background. | Local notification only. |
You can revoke any permission at any time in your Android system settings.
3. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
- To run AI features on your device — routing your input to the local LiteRT-LM runtime, choosing CPU / GPU / NPU backend, managing the conversation context. (No transmission to us.)
- To deliver and update the App — download the selected AI model from Cloudflare R2, resume interrupted downloads, verify file integrity.
- To improve the App — Firebase Analytics tells us which features are used and on which devices the App fails or runs slowly.
- To diagnose crashes — Firebase Crashlytics gives us stack traces and device information so we can fix bugs.
- To monetise the free version — Google AdMob shows banner ads at the bottom of the screen; we do not see your individual ad-event data, only aggregated reports.
- To process purchases — Google Play Billing handles the transaction and returns an entitlement we use to disable ads or unlock features.
- To respond to your requests — if you contact us by email, to reply and to fulfil legal requests (e.g. data-subject access).
- To comply with the law — tax, accounting and legal-defence purposes.
4. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON?
This section applies if you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to provide the App you have installed and to process your in-app purchases.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — to keep the App secure, to fix crashes (Crashlytics), to understand aggregate usage (Analytics), to detect ad fraud, and to defend our legal rights. You can object — see Section 13.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for personalised advertising and any optional analytics in the EEA / UK / Switzerland. We collect this consent through the Google User Messaging Platform consent screen on first launch. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Privacy options.
- Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — to comply with applicable laws and regulators’ requests.
If you are located in Canada, we rely on your express or implied consent under PIPEDA, except where the law allows processing without consent (investigations, legal obligations, etc.).
5. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE INFORMATION?
We share data only with the service providers listed in Section 6, and only the data those services technically need to operate. We do not sell personal information.
We may also share data:
- To comply with the law — in response to lawful requests from public authorities.
- To enforce our rights — to investigate fraud, abuse or violations of our Terms of Use.
- In connection with a business transfer — merger, sale, financing, acquisition or insolvency, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this Privacy Policy.

7. ADVERTISING AND CONSENT (EEA / UK / SWITZERLAND)
Salut Translator is free and supported by banner ads served by Google AdMob. Ads are hidden:
- on the first few launches of the App;
- whenever the on-screen keyboard is open;
- for users who have purchased the ad-free in-app product.
If you are in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent on the first launch. You can:
- accept personalised ads (Google and its partners may use the Android Advertising ID and other signals to tailor ads);
- reject personalised ads (you will see non-personalised ads instead);
- change your choice later in Settings → Privacy options.
You can also reset or delete your Android Advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
8. IN-APP PURCHASES
The App may offer optional in-app purchases (for example, removal of ads or premium features). All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing:
- we never see, store or transmit your payment-card data;
- we receive only an order ID and a purchase token confirming that the entitlement is active for your Google account;
- refunds and subscription management are handled in the Google Play Store (refund instructions, subscription management);
- prices and product availability may differ by country.
9. ON-DEVICE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Salut Translator runs an open-weight large-language model (Gemma-family LiteRT-LM) locally on your device in an isolated Android process. Your prompts, voice, photos and attached documents are passed to that local process and never leave your device.
The model itself is downloaded once from Cloudflare R2 and cached on your device. After download, AI features work fully offline.
We do not perform automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Limitations. The model is statistical and can produce inaccurate, incomplete or offensive output. Please use your own judgement before relying on AI output for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions.
10. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
- On your device — chat history, language preferences and downloaded model files are kept until you clear chat, change settings, clear App data or uninstall the App.
- Firebase Analytics — up to the configured retention period (currently 14 months), then aggregated and anonymised.
- Firebase Crashlytics — up to 90 days for individual crash records; aggregated stability metrics are retained longer.
- AdMob logs — according to Google’s retention rules.
- Cloudflare R2 access logs — standard short-term retention by Cloudflare.
- Email correspondence — up to 24 months unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.
11. HOW DO WE KEEP INFORMATION SECURE?
We rely on the security controls of Google and Cloudflare for data they process on our behalf, and on Android sandboxing for data on your device. Network traffic between the App and our providers uses TLS. No method of transmission or storage is 100 % secure.
12. INFORMATION FROM MINORS
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at
[email protected] and we will delete it. AdMob is configured so that the App is not flagged as “directed to children”; the App is intended for general audiences age 13+.
13. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data;
- restrict or object to processing;
- request a portable copy of your data;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You can also exercise some rights yourself, on your device, without contacting us:
- disable analytics and crash reporting through your device’s App Settings (Firebase respects setAnalyticsCollectionEnabled(false); the App exposes a toggle in Settings → Privacy);
- change advertising consent in Settings → Privacy options;
- reset or delete the Android Advertising ID in your Android system settings;
- clear chat history and downloaded models in Settings;
- uninstall the App, which removes all locally stored content.
